A review of Farm House Tavern by Jess the trucker written on Sunday 22nd of November 2009
My wife and I were looking for somewhere to eat in Norwich, having dropped off our son at the nearby UEA to attend a concert. Having no knowledge of the area (we live in Leiston in Suffolk),we drove toward Norwich, and chanced across the Farmhouse, ideally located by the main ring road.
On entering the bar area,I enquired if it was OK to bring our 18-month old son in and give him his own food, and was immediately offered an excellent high chair, and told that we were most welcome to bring our own food for him-a good start.
We chose a table in the large conservatory-style dining area, and placed our food orders. The soup was complimented on by my wife as excellent, and my chicken goujons were of the same standard. I then enjoyed a SPLENDID rump steak, while my wife had salmon fillet. We finished with a sumptuous chocolate and raspberry pudding, with ice cream, and complimentary coffees.
I cannot comment on the beer,as I was driving and the wife is teetotal (but sadly cant drive!),but a wide variety of ale was on offer, and seemed to be going down well!
When the bill arrived,I was pleasantly surprised at the total, considering the quality we had just enjoyed.
All in all,highly recommended!!

All in all,a very enjoyable evening, and I have no hesitation in recommending the Farmhouse.
