A review of Riverside Swimming Centre by Anonymous written on Friday 20th of November 2009
I took my 4 year old and 11 month old swimming at Riverside Leisure Centre 1 week ago and didn't notice the car park signs regarding a 2 1/2 hour limit on the car park. Being recently widdowed I was concentrating on making sure that both my children were safe while crossing the carpark as being a single parent things are a lot harder. My daughter was really excited about being taken swimming as I don't get the chance much to spend quality time with her. We had a lovely afternoon. 1 week later things weren't so lovely when I received a notice through my front door from G24 to say I had overstayed my welcome by 9 minutes and it was going to cost me £95! I glad they think its ok to charge that much when you don't have to pay nowhere near as much if you parked on a permit only street!.
