"Anglia 50 years old"

Having watched Anglia TV tonight showing the first film of 50yrs ago with Bob Wellings at Frinton broght back memories ! I have lived in Spain for 5yrs years but 50yrs ago had just returned at the age of 22yrs having just finished 2 1/2yrs with the RAF in Singapore. The film of 'Annes' resturant in Frinton then showed the inside of the shop window, the lady who walked up to the window was the owner, a Mrs Brannan, a great friendof our family, I could not believe seeing her. Her two sons I believe still live in Suffolk and Essex. At this time my father owned an opticions shop a few doors down the street.

One of the men who spoke in this film was a Hector Humpries who owned a book shop in Connaught Ave (the main street) I still visit Frinton when visiting the UK (chris Morgan, Costa Blanca).
