A review of Royal Mail by Tom written on Monday 19th of October 2009
I have always thought highly and respected the work that Royal Mail do for our community. BUT, when it comes to communication and proper information when one needs it, they lack the ability to do so accordingly.
For example, I got a letter left over in my post box informing me that the packet that was delivered to me was too big for the letterbox. Alright, so I schedule a redelivery for the upcoming Saturday. No packet came as described on the note that was left for me. So I call them and nobody answers. I then search for about 30 minutes to find out what time they close, and the answer I found was 5:30pm. So at about 3:30pm I make my way to Royal mail only to find out that they actually closed at 1pm.
I rescheduled my daily routine to go to Royal Mail only to find out that due to the lack of their communication/information I had now wasted at least an hour of my time for nothing.
Really disappointed with this whole situation! Royal mail need to shape up in my opinion. Different people have different schedules & sleep routines, so why dont they make life easier for themselves, and the general public and formulate a simple time table type of protocol where people are expected to get a delivery have the option to specify a preferred time and perhaps a note, so that the royal mail guys can do their job more efficiently and also provide a much better reflected service.
Alright, thats the end of my rant. .
