A review of The Country Salon by Lynda Edwards written on Sunday 4th of October 2009
I first went there in 1996 when I first bought my car - I remember asking when making my first appointment, on a recommendation from a friend, by phone for someone who was really good at cutting hair as I had experienced some awful cutting in the recent past.
When I arrived in the picturesque village of Heydon I parked my car by the village green (there is now a visitors' car park behind the pub) and made my way into the salon. I was soon pampered, given a good cup of tea and soon was looked after by the delightful Paul who took a great deal of trouble sorting my hair out and somehow managed (without hair extensions) to make my then short hair look twice as thick with his clever cutting.
13 years later I was forced to sell my car due to financial reasons and regretfully had to cancel my hair appointment due to no public transport to Heydon. I have since been to one of the supposedly top hair salons in Norwich but the cut I had was not to the standard which I enjoyed from Paul for 13 years..
