A review of Gatsby's by K&R written on Sunday 13th of December 2020

Roberto of Gatsby -in Beltvoir street- is a one man shop-worth a visit if you want to be sure of a quality cut.

Roberto listens to requests/ suggestions and will recap on requested style/look before starting the cut.

He has excellent scissor skills (too many barbers rely on guards for electric clippers- for most of a haircut) Likewise he doesn't often use thinning scissors- which are used -usually -by barbers who are not confident about their scissor skills.

He is a first rate taper man,knows exactly what you mean if you want a heavier wedge shape above the taper.

He is keen to show you the finished look -front and back.

He is an artist -and wants to show off his work.

. and when I return - 3 or 4 weeks later- he remembers what you requested last time - and is ready to repeat- or add any modifications.(I live on the coast so 30 plus miles each way)-but hey- he's worth it!

Its good to be able to say -this is a quality cut- by an intelligent,creative barber who

is professional in approach-a precision cutter and an interpreter of haircut requests to

an outstanding standard.
