I totally feel for you T Marsters! , unfortunately in a situation like this you have to just show them your pointless job search for dead end 0 guaranteed hour jobs that pay the same a s benefits but for 40 hours work.

While you pretend to do this you have to carry on with the course and get qualified , its total BS but thats how our system works.

I have struggled for 25 years trying to pay rent and work, and just ping pong between a job to benefits as either I cant afford my rent, or I loose job etc.

I am now finally on a course that can lead to a career with more than min wage (referred by the job center) It costs £3500 to the tax payer! Within a week they were trying to pull me off that course and make me except a cleaning job.

It makes no sense but just remember:

YOU DO NOT NEED JOB SEEKERS TO CLAIM HOUSING BENEFIT just tell council you are on £0 income and they will pay the rent (within reason) or allocate you a dedicated bedsit to prevent being homeless (which is clean warm and nice )

The help you need is further down at the bottom of the barrel you have to remember that the system is designed to crush ambition and freeze people in working poverty.

If they say they will take away my JSA benefits because I am trying to complete my course like you and not be a slave

I will just claim food stamps and go to the food bank, work cash in hand for anybody until I get the course finished, then I can seek work for up to 35k a year

I will be in different class and probably have a car a washing machine and oven and a tumble dryer ,and a garage bigger than my current flat.

But if anyone around me says they are voting Tory I will give them a good slap for you ! .
