"Indoor cash deposit point machine"

Was using the aylsham road branch today, wanted to put money into my account.

I had a cheque and some cash. the bank was busy at the time so I had to queue. I noticed their was a letter box on the wall beside the information desk suggesting that customers could simply put your money in a deposit envelope, fill in the attached slip also the receipt. and that's it job done.

sounds good at first but then you realise that you have filled in your own receipt no machine or other person has checked everything is correct it's your word only.

when will Lloyds put in a deposit machine which can check things for you and give you a receipt. other banks already do it.

this is probably why the queues' are always so long. .
