A review of Urwins by Caroline written on Saturday 31st of August 2013
Just returned from our 2nd visit this year. Had a warm welcome again from Angie and Tony. They run the boat/canoe/kayak yard next to the cottages, so are around if you need anything; they also provide a comprehensive information file for each cottage. The cottages come with your own rowing boat, use of pool, sauna and gym equipment. Friendly pub and a pick your own/farm shop are across the road.
On this visit we were lucky enough to see an otter from the back of the cottage (you need to be up early)& what we think were mink on a couple of occasions (they have a more pointed face and are darker than otters). When we took the boat out, we also saw several kingfishers. Day boats etc. can also be hired from the cottages, we went onto the Broads, where more otters were seen, along with the lovely scenery.
We are a family of four, ages 15 & 18+ (Wi-Fi available but connection is sometimes stronger in the courtyard).
Hope this helps:)
