A review of Britons Arms by Sarah E written on Tuesday 13th of December 2011
I went along to the Briton's Arms ine early December with 2 adult friends and 5 children. It's a lovely building and seems very inviting when you walk in. However, staff were not helful with the children. There was no printed menu, just a specials board with very adult oriented dishes such as sausage herby plait, feta and pepper tart and a few other things. They would only serve small plates of the adult meals for kids and couldn't even rustle up a cheese sandwich, despite us being in there early and the first to order. Unhelpful at letting us split the bill and wouldn't even give us change that we could split out between the 3 of us. The soup was bland and the sausage plait portions very stingey for the £8 that they cost. We wouldn't return as we thought it was bad value for money and unhelpful service..
