A review of Black Horse by Mike from Essex written on Friday 20th of May 2011
I recently came to Norfolk and took my grandmother to the Black Horse for her 89th Birthday meal and could not disagree with the last post more!! My grandmother is not easily pleased to say the least (we call her Hyiasyth), but the Service was excellent (she left a tip so it must have been!), the food was very good - now I'm saying it was cooked by a mitchelin star chef, but it was tasty good wholesome food, as good as any aspiring gastro pub should be! I should also say that I travel for work across the UK, and eat regulary at many pubs, restaurants and eateries....my experience at the Black Horse Norwich is one I shall treasure as you made my Grandma happy....and we all had a great time. When I am back in Norwich I will be in for lunch! Finally, I am not sure where the smell bit came from, the place looks like it has just been refurbished....only smells of good food and maybe a little fresh paint! Thanks guys!.
