A review of Coldham Hall Tavern by Paul Bennet written on Wednesday 23rd of June 2010
Went back to Coldham Hall on Tuesday the 22nd June 2010 and was pleasantly surprised to see a large investment made in the furniture, curtains and the mooring. Well done very impressive.
We ordered cod & chips and chilli chicken which came quickly with very helpful staff.
The main course was excellent apart from the old dodge of re-cooking the chips which many restaurants use but it always shows with the taste and lack of a hard outer surface. Prices a little on the top end for Norfolk.
Nip down to Southwold chippy for a perfect chip.
The sweets on offer were different and homemade without the usual bought in chocolate pudding thrown in the microwave that many pubs in Norfolk serve up.
The beer IPA from the cask was great and would give the pub 8/10 rating.
Have recommended Coldham Hall to my local friends in the area and fingers crossed they do not get the annual winter flood across the road to the pub.
Keep up the good work.
